MBU Baseball Upsets #16 AUM

The Missouri Baptist University men’s baseball team improved to 2-2 when they got a 10-7 upset win over NAIA 16th ranked Auburn University – Montgomery in Alabama on Saturday. MBU trailed 7-1 heading into the 8th inning, but the Spartan offense drove in nine runs in the 8th to take the lead. Clayton Dill (1-1) picked up the win for the Spartans. Derek Mayer got the save, his second in two attempts this season.

Scott Schneider started the MBU rally with a three-run homerun. Scott Talbert had a homerun, double, two runs and an RBI. Joel Johnson went 2 for 4, scoring a run and getting 2 RBI. Ryan Jackson went 2 for 3, scoring a run, and getting 1 RBI.
