Women’s Track & Field Honored with Prestigious Award at NAIA National Tourney (May 30, 2007)
The Missouri Baptist University Women's Outdoor Track & Field team has been selected as the 2007 National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics Buffalo Funds Five Star Champions of Character Team. This is one of the highest honors the NAIA can award and this is truly a testament to Coach Bingham and his team’s focus on commitment, hard work, and facing challenges head on. Men's & Women's Track Conclude Run Through NAIA Tourney (May 29, 2007)
The final day of competition at the NAIA Outdoor Track and Field National Championships was scorching. As the mercury continued to rise, so did the level of competition on the track. The sunrise saw the start of the men's marathon. The gun cracked for Vincent Morogah and Timothy Makubuya as they started their 26.2 mile race at 6 in the morning. Morogah ran several minutes faster than his 2006 All American time as he finished eighth in 2:29:55. Makubuya ran his personal best in 2:50:52. Freshman Meagan Hudson ran a strong 3000 meter steeplechase in the midday sun. Hudson finished…

MBU Baseball Season Comes to an End in Region V Tournament (May 14, 2007)
The Spartan Baseball squad came up short in their re-match with Avila University last Friday in the Region V consolation bracket falling by a score of 7-4. The loss concludes MBU's season, but the Spartans can still boast of their regular and post season AMC championship banners. The Spartans finished the 2007 campaign with a 37-20 overall record. MBU Baseball will Take the Field Against Avila Today at 4:00 PM (May 11, 2007)
Sweet Revenge! That’s what the MBU Baseball team will have on their minds when they take the field for their third game in as many days in the Region V Tournament hosted at Lindenwood University. The Spartans will look to avenge a 12-8 loss to Avila University today at 4:00 pm. MBU lost to Avila in the opening round of the Region Tournament on Wednesday. The Spartans have to win their next four games to advance to the Super Regional Tournament. One loss will send the Spartans home for the summer. If the Spartans defeat Avila they will play again…

MBU Baseball Faced with Must Win Game (May 10, 2007)
The MBU Baseball team dropped their first game of the double elimination Region V Tournament last night. The Spartans, the number two seed, lost to Avila University, the number five seed, 12-8 in the first round of tourney play. MBU will now face Benedictine College at 12:30 pm on May 10th in the first game of the loser’s bracket. The Spartans season will conclude with a loss, but a win will extend the MBU season. All Region V games are being played on the campus of Lindenwood University.…

MBU Baseball Draws Number 2 Seed at Region V Tournament (May 8, 2007)
The Missouri Baptist University Spartan Baseball Team has drawn the number two seed at the upcoming double elimination NAIA Region V Tournament hosted at Lindenwood University. The Spartans will open up Region play on Wednesday, May 9th at 4:00 pm versus the number five seed, Avila University (MO). If MBU wins their first round game they will play again on May 10th at 7:30 pm against the winner of the William Jewell College (#3) and William Woods University (#4) game. MBU Baseball Advances to Region V Tourney with AMC Tournament Championship Win (May 7, 2007)
The Spartan Baseball Team concluded their AMC run as American Midwest Conference Post Season Champions. MBU did so as they defeated William Woods University by a score of 4-1 in the second game of the AMC Championship Series hosted at Missouri Baptist University. MBU fell to the Owls of WWU 6-5 in nine innings in game one. With a game two win, MBU receives an automatic bid to next week’s NAIA Region V Tournament in St. Charles, MO.
