The Missouri Baptist University Men’s bowling team bowled in the Intercollegiate Team Championship’s Sectional competition over the weekend of March 24th and 25th, 2007. In what was considered the most difficult and “loaded” region for college bowling, the Midwest, the Spartan’s competed very well. Having only the top four teams advance to the National Tournament the competition was rigorous. MBU Track Competes at Nationals (March 19, 2007)
The Missouri Baptist Track and Field team competed at the NAIA Indoor National Championships this past weekend. The Spartan athletes won three events and earned All American honors in nine events. Nickesha Anderson once again showed she is the preeminent sprinter in the NAIA. Anderson won both the 60 and the 200 meter dashe bringing her national title total to 13. In the 60, Anderson made a late charge over the final meters to win in 7.48 seconds. Track & Field Heads to Nationals (March 8, 2007)
The Missouri Baptist University Track and Field Team will compete this week at the NAIA Indoor Track and Field National Championships in Johnson City, Tennessee with a little less worry on their minds thanks to the generous donation of Mr. John E. Hanna and Subaru O’Fallon. The MBU Track Program plays host to numerous events throughout the year, thus, forcing the athletes and coaches to fundraise to offset costs of these highly competitive meets.
