Men's Basketball Will Host HLG in Round One of AMC Tourney

The Spartans of Missouri Baptist University drew the number four seed in the upcoming American Midwest Conference Tournament. The Spartans, with a 13-13 overall record (6-6 in AMC play) will host the number five seed, Hannibal LaGrange College (11-16, 5-7) Wednesday, February 28th at 7:00 pm. A win will send the Spartans one step closer to the NAIA National Tournament in Kansas City. However, MBU would have to go through the number one seed, University of Illinois Springfield. With a victory over HLG, MBU would be on the road at UIS on Friday at 7:00 pm. On the Season the Spartans have split with Hannibal LaGrange losing to the Trojans of HLG in MBU’s friendly confines of Muncy Gymnasium.
