MBU CC Men Defend AMC Crown
The MBU Mens Cross Country Team won the American Midwest Conference Title for the 3rd straight year. The men swept the top four spots with the individual title going to Kenneth Kibii. Kibii was closely followed by teammates Denis-Bull Olinga, Vincent Morogah, and Timothy Makubuya, who all ran in a tight pack throughout the race. Pat Anderson (13th) and Chad Hammontree (18th) had solid races to round out the team scoring. Anderson, Morogah, and Andre Strachan also received recognition as Academic All Conference. Timothy Makubuya continued the mens winning ways by earning the Conference Freshman of the Year award. MBU Head Coach, Gordon Reiter, received the AMC Men's Coach of the Year.
On the women's side, MBU Freshman, Meagan Hudson, had her best race of the year running a season's best 19:24, which was good enough for 3rd place overall. Hudson won the Women's Conference Freshman of the Year award.
The MBU Cross Country Team continues their season in two weeks at the NAIA Region V meet at Baker University in Kansas.
