Wrestlers Place Five in Top Six

The Missouri Baptist Spartan Wrestling Team returned from the Eastern Regional Championships with five of the seven wrestlers placing in the top six. This was the first time in the programs history that MBU put two wrestlers in the regional final. Only two other wrestlers from MBU had ever made it to the finals of the Regional Championships. Jared Bonnell and Nigel Kinworthy. Mike Aitch was 6th at 125 weight class, Chas Skelly was third at 149 weight class, John Wilcox was fifth at the 174 weight class, and Nigel Kinworthy was 2nd at the 184 weight class weight class, narrowly losing in overtime in the championship match. Jared Bonnell was 2nd in the heavy weight division. The Spartans next travel to Sioux City, Iowa for the NAIA Nationals.
