Men's Volleyball Open Season 6-1

The 3rd ranked Spartans of Missouri Baptist University went 5-0 this week pushing their overall record to 6-1. The team started the week with its conference opener on the road at St. Ambrose University. The team prevailed 30-26, 30-28, 26-30, 30-23 in a tough 3-1 victory. The team then traveled to Lindenwood University for four matches against other NAIA foes. The team defeated 5th ranked Missouri Valley 3-1, 28-30, 30-27, 30-27, 30-27, then Peru State College 3-0, 30-23, 30-24, 30-25 on Friday. Saturday the team defeated 10th ranked Johnson and Wales 3-1, 30-16, 24-30, 30-15, 30-26, and then 6th ranked Graceland University 3-1, 30-21, 32-34, 34-32, 30-23.

The team heads back on the road this weekend for three conference matches against Moody Bible, Calumet of St. Joseph, and Cardinal Stritch University.
