MBU Track Impressive this Weekend Beating Michigan State and Louisville

The Missouri Baptist Track Team continues to impress foes this indoor season. Saturday, the MBU Tracksters competed at the Illinois Intivational hosted by the University of Illinois. The women came away with a third place finish. MBU was just behind second place Illinois State University and defeated the University of Louisville, Michigan State University, and SIU Edwardsville. The MBU women accomplished this feat without the services of the NAIA's top sprinter Nickesha Anderson, or nationally ranked sprinters Sherline Duncan and Sherine Shepherd.

MBU newcomer, Margaret Nakintu, led the way with a school record setting performance in the mile (4:43), and the 3000 (9:23). Also earning event wins were; Maresia Pencil in the 800 (2:14), Nadina Marsh in the high jump (5-7), and Jamaury Harris in the triple jump (50-0). Missouri Baptist impressed all around with 14 top four finishes on the day.

MBU looks to continue their season this week by competing at the University of Findlay (Ohio).
