Yehling Named Region V Coach of the Year
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Missouri Baptist University Head Women’s Volleyball Coach, John Yehling, has been selected by the Tachikara/AVCA as the NAIA Region V Coach of the Year. Each of the region honorees will represent their region on the Tachikara/AVCA NAIA National Coach of the Year ballot. The awards will be officially presented at the Tachikara/AVCA Coach of the Year and Victory Club Awards Banquet in San Antonio on Thursday, December 15, at the 2005 American Volleyball Coaches Association Annual Convention.
Yehling led his Lady Spartan team to a 37-6 season record. He was voted American Midwest Conference Coach of the Year after finishing second in the AMC. Yehling led his club to the AMC post season title and the Region V title. The Lady Spartans advanced to the NAIA Final Four.
