Wrestlers Shine in Nebraska

The Spartan Wrestling Team participated in the University of Nebraska Kearny Open on Saturday. The MBU coaches saw some highlights at the tournament. Placing fifth for MBU was John Wilcox at the 174 pound weight class. Wilcox defeated the #2 ranked NAIA Wrestler in the nation, Jake Stevenson of Morningside College by pin. Meeting National Qualification Standards was Jared Bonnell at Heavyweight. Bonnell placed fourth.

The Spartans next travel to the University of Indianapolis on January 6th for the Midwest Classic where they will see more than 30 different opponents.
