Women's Volleyball Captures AMC Tournament Championship

The Missouri Baptist University Women’s Volleyball team defeated Columbia College Saturday afternoon to claim the post season AMC title. Scores were; 30-24, 24-30, 24-30, 30-23, and 15-8. The Spartans improve to 31-5 on the season and Columbia drops to 33-3. MBU entered the match ranked # 12 in the recent NAIA national rankings. Junior Ana Mercado, of Tepic, Mexico, had 30 kills for the Spartans, and freshman, Tracey Abell, St. Charles, MO, added 30 digs.

MBU earns the top seed in the NAIA Region V Tournament starting Tuesday.
