Cross Country Finishes Strong at SIUE
The Men's and Women's Cross Country Team competed in the SIUE Border Wars meet in Edwardsville, Illinois this weekend.
The men led all NAIA institutions in the team standings. With close to 30 teams from all levels of college, the MBU men were led by sophomore Denis-Bull Olinga. Olinga finished second in the 286 person race. Denis was followed by Vincent Morogah, Titus Tirop, Justin Moss, and Pat Anderson.
The MBU women also turned in a fine performance by finishing second among all NAIA schools. The ladies were led by sophomore Maresia Pencil. Holly Shaffer, Sarah Vinslauski, Denele DeVerteuil, and Megan Edsall closed out the team scoring for the Ladies.
MBU travels to Kansas next weekend for the NAIA Mid States classic. The men and women are both looking to build on their success and make a run at a postseason appearance.
