The MBU bowling teams attended the 35th annual Hammer Midwest Classic over the weekend of October 1st and 2nd. As the first Tier 1 tournament most of the major competitors throughout the country were in attendance. MBU's showing was outstanding.

On the men's side of the competition, the Spartans finished 7th overall with highest 2nd round qualifying block in the tournament. All of the top ranked national competitors were in attendance so this is tremendous showing for the MBU team.

On the women's side the news was extremely positive. The MBU women finished 5th overall against some of the toughest competition that college bowling has to offer. This is the highest finish ever for MBU in any college Tier 1 event.
