Women's Cross Country Places 4th at Miner Invite

The MBU women's cross country team traveled to Rolla, Missouri, Saturday to compete in the Miner Invitation. The Lady Spartans earned a 4th place finish defeating host school Rolla and conference foe Hannibal LaGrange among others along the way. Led by freshman Holly Shaffer, the women continue to improve each week with everyone running their best times of the year. Strong performances by Maresia Pencil, Sarah Vinslauski, Danielle Skaggs, and Nicola Smith carried the team scoring despite losing Megan Edsall to an injury early in the competition.

The men's program took the weekend off from competition, as they trained for the Oklahoma State Cowboy Invite next weekend.
