Women's Volleyball Opens Up Season Play August 30th

The Missouri Baptist University Women’s Volleyball team is anxious about the upcoming 2005 season and has high expectations. First year head women’s volleyball coach, John Yehling is no stranger to the volleyball world. Coach Yehling has been MBU’s head men’s volleyball coach for the past three years. In that time he has been ranked as high a first in the nation and has claimed one regular season title and two conference post season titles. For his efforts, Coach Yehling boasts of one conference coach of the year honor. Coach Yehling will remain at the helm of the men’s program, but will take on the duties of head women’s coach after the departure of Coach Jay Potter.
“I am very excited about working with the women’s program at MBU this season” said Coach Yehling. “Coach Potter left behind a great team and we should be able to make it to the regional tournament this year. We have several new players this season and they all have great team experience. “

The Lady Spartans open up their season on August 30 at Lindenwood University. Match time is set for 7:00 PM.
