Men's Soccer To Host MBU Alumni Game

The Missouri Baptist University Varsity Men’s Soccer team will host the 2005 alumni game. The contest will feature five former and current MBU coaches; Deno Merrick, men’s soccer assistant coach (2002) and Dave Barnett, men’s soccer graduate assistant coach (2001-2004). Chip Dutchik (1998-2002), the head women’s soccer coach and Roger Cole, women’s soccer graduate assistant coach will also be playing. Former MBU Assistant Coach (1999-2000) Colby Thomas, will suit up for the MBU alumni.

The game will feature four former AMC all Conference selections: Dave Barnett, Deno Merrick, Dumir Kordic (2002-2003), Brian Cross (1997-2000)-Goalkeeper.

Brian Cross and Deno Merrick were both ALL Region and All-American selections in their playing days.

The rest of the MBU Alumni roster includes:
Marcus Kelcher – Led MBU in scoring in 2002. Currently holds MBU’s record for most assist in a game with Five.
Colby Thomas
Bo Evans
Julio Ferreira (2001-2004)
Kyle Droege (2002-2004)
Greg Gutting (1997-2000)

The game is scheduled for Saturday August 13th at 5:00 PM at Busch Soccer Park.
