MBU's Tom Smith Named Region V Athletic Director of the Year (July 29, 2005)
Missouri Baptist University Director of Athletics, Thomas Smith, has been announced the 2005 Region V Athletic Director of the year. The honor was released July 29, 2005. Smith’s name was submitted to the Region V Chair and voted upon by the Region V Athletic Directors. Names are then submitted to the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) national office and the honors are announced from there. Smith, who assumed the position of MBU’s Director of Athletics in January of 2003, has brought many changes to the Missouri Baptist University Athletic Department. Women's Track & CC Programs Add New Coaches (July 20, 2005)
Head Coach Vince Bingham’s Missouri Baptist University Track & Field and Cross Country Programs will be adding three new coaches next season. New coaches, Ed Harris, Pat Sullivan, and Jim Cary, step into a program that finished 3rd at the NAIA Outdoor National Championships in its first season. Ed Harris, formerly of Hazelwood East, has earned five state trophies, including state championships in 95-97. Coach Harris will help develop the already strong sprint program into one of the best in the nation.
