Softball's Crow Has Standout Season
The Missouri Baptist University Softball team concluded their season at 17-17, but one individual had a season to remember. Meaghan Crow dominated for the Lady Spartans and it showed as the AMC coaches voted her as the leagues best. Crow broke four MBU records and tied one on her way to being named the 2005 American Midwest Conference Newcomer of the Year and American Midwest Conference Player of the Year. Crow was also named to the AMC First Team.
Among the new records set by Crow were Batting Average (.490), Doubles in a season (16), on base percentage (.582), and slugging percentage (.898). Crow tied the school record for home runs in a season with six.
MBU’s Jennifer Broy tied the school record for sacrifices in a season with 14.
