Men's Golf Concludes Tourney Play With Many Honors

The Spartan Men’s Golf Team concluded the 2005 Region Play with much success. The Spartans claimed the 2005 American Midwest Conference title, the 2005 NAIA Region V title and the 2005 squad will compete at the NAIA National Championships in Olathe, KS May 24th-27th.

Several individual awards were also bestowed on the Spartans. Head Coach Randy Carstens was named 2005 AMC Coach of the Year and NAIA Region V Coach of the Year. MBU sophomore, Danny Manselle from St. Louis won the Individual Championship in both the American Midwest Conference Tournament and the NAIA Region V Championship. Manselle and sophomore Ryan Howell (Troy, MO) were named to the NAIA All Region V Team. Manselle, Erik Rios, and Rodolfo Gamino were named to the American Midwest All Conference Team.
