Baseball Places Four On AMC First Team

The Spartans had four individuals named to the 2005 American Midwest Conference First Team. The recipient’s names were released on Saturday after the AMC Championship Game.

Among the First Team selections for MBU were; Jake McMurran (RHP), Jesse Bahr (LHP), Nathan Roush (RHP) and Pedro Perez (OF). The four MBU Stars helped lead the Spartans to a 40-22 record and a birth in the Region V Playoffs. MBU placed second in the AMC regular season and second in the AMC tournament. The AMC Player of the Year and the AMC Coach of the Year honors went to McKendree College.

MBU will travel to T-Bone Stadium in Kansas City, MO on Wednesday for the first round of Region Tourney play against Benedictine College at 7:30 PM.
