Women's Golf Finishes Season Strong
The Lady Spartans Golf team finished the season fourth out of nine teams in Region V tournament play. This was the first season that Missouri Baptist University fielded a Women’s Golf team. MBU posted a score of 370 after the first round of tournament play and a score of 365 in the second round of tournament play hosted in Smithville, MO. MBU’s Ashlee Claydon was named to the First Team All Region with scores of 86 and 86 respectively in the two rounds of action.
“I would definitely call this a successful season” stated head coach Josh Buffington. “Finishing fourth as a first year team was a great start. We had a great group of girls and we will build on that chemistry and look for another successful season next year.”
