Chris Nichols - Staff Profile
Assistant Men’s/Women’s Volleyball Coach
Chris Nichols is entering his second year as the Assistant Coach for both the Men’s and Women’s Volleyball programs. Chris has been at Missouri Baptist since 2001 as a player and then was promoted to the coaching staff. Chris graduated from Francis Howell High School in St. Charles where he was a 4 year varsity setter from 1997-2000, including the 2000 State Championship Team. He played for MBU for 3 years and helped the Spartans earn the 2nd Place National Tournament finish in the 2003 season. He also was a key factor in leading the Women to a first time ever Final Four finish in the 2005 National Tournament.
Including his playing experience, Chris is also an experienced coach. He has been the assistant coach for the Varsity Boy’s and Girl’s Volleyball at Francis Howell High School from 2002-2005. Chris also is very reputable in the club volleyball scene where he has coached for Kaepa St. Charles, and is now with Team Saint Louis. He led his 16 TSL squad to the Junior Olympics National Tournament, where they finished strong placing 11th in the nation.
