MBU Baseball Player Drafted by Cardinals

In case you hadn't heard, MBU sophomore Scott Thomas was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 38th round of the recent MLB draft. Scott was the starting Catcher for the Spartans and was selected as a NAIA 2nd Team All-American. He is the son of Lee Thomas, the Cardinal's former farm director who later became general manager of the Philadelphia Phillies. Scott lives here in Town and Country and atteded high school at Chaminade.

I also received news that Jeff Morrow, '88 BS in Physical Education just accepted the head boys basketball coaching position at Batesville (AR) High School.

Another 80's alum, David Blazer, '87 BA in Music Performance, is now the Vice-President of Business Development and Production at SRO Associates in San Antonio, TX. SRO is an entertainment, design and construction company specializing in the entertainment and themed environment industry. David had worked for the past 13 years for Six Flags Theme Parks most recently serving as Entertainment Manager at Six Flags Fiesta Texas. Under his leadership, Fiesta Texas won seven Golden Ticket Awards for "Best Theme Park Shows" and was a two-time winner of the BIG E Award from IAAPA. HIs work was also recognized on two Travel Channel specials. You can reach David at dblazer@sroassociates.com.

Mary Peters (Johnson), '92 BS in Social Sciences just moved back to the St. Louis area when her husband became the Pastor of FBC of House Springs. Mary would love to hear from you at wmandmary@sbcglobal.net.
