Being
a student at MBU gives you the opportunity to be involved, not as a number,
but as an essential part of university life. If you have a talent or interest,
most likely you will be given ample opportunity to apply it. Have a knack
for theatre? Try out for the University’s large cast musical or share
God’s word through drama as a member of In-Charactre. Have a melodic
voice? Participate in one of our premiere performance groups, MBU Chorale,
or Opera Workshops. Pick up an instrument and play in one of our bands or
bring your amateur talent to one of the biggest interactive student events
of the year, MBU’s coffeeshop, The Perk. Is your interest behind the
scenes or in leadership, ministry, business, or sports? There is something
for everyone at MBU!
For
many students the opportunity to serve others is their most rewarding
activity. One of the primary aims of the University is to encourage
a Christian attitude in every facet of student life…and you’ll
have an abundance of options from mission opportunities
abroad to outreach in St. Louis’s charities like Habitat for
Humanity. But there’s no need to wait for an “opportunity,”
with every moment of the day, our students find a way to serve.
Even as you walk down the halls, MBU is set apart from the rest. Professors
that become both your friends and mentors greet you and familiar faces
are found in the Field lobby and in all of your classrooms. Our professors
and staff are dedicated to seeing you through to the success you seek,
whether it will be from a professional career to fieldwork in missions.
The atmosphere this creates is undeniably positive and heartwarming,
and their source of motivation alters the face of every event held
on campus. From Homecoming to Hanging of the Green at Christmas to
Commencement in May, MBU’s character defines your experience
and makes our campus the place you want to be.
