When
you begin your MBU experience, the residence hall becomes your
new home. Suddenly you encounter an amazing set of opportunities
to learn and grow. Living with a roommate, receiving guidance from
the RA who has been through it all, and quickly developing friends
with those in your hall—these all might be exciting firsts.
Both the companionship and the demands of these relationships will
shape and fill your new life.
Living at MBU allows you to grow in integrity and faith, in character and competency. Being away from home apart from family and friends, allows you to discover who you really are…and MBU is an excellent place to do that. You develop deeper concern for others and honesty in relationships. There is a new sense of independence and an ability to persevere through life’s challenges.
Besides
that, it’s fun! Events like Passion,
designed to jumpstart your spiritual engine, rejuvenate you at
the beginning
of the new semester, and watching movies outdoors
on designated nights, participating in men and women’s bible
studies, and visiting St. Louis attractions with your hall become
the daily
elixir of your social life.
Because we are purposeful about the process of personal health
and growth, life on campus is full of vitality and challenge. Computer
labs are available in every dorm and, with a personal computer,
connection to the campus-wide internet network is available in
every room.
Living on campus is an experience you may never have again. The opportunity, with all its advantages and challenges, is unmatched and it will be an essential part of your university life.
