Why did you choose MBU?
MBU offers great scholarships!! It is also in a great location; it is very accommodating. Just go East 10 minutes and you are in the city and 5 minutes West you are in the valley. Everything you could ever need is less than 10 minutes away.
What has been your favorite MBU event?
We went on a SAC (student activities council) trip to the Lake of the Ozarks, and even though it was rainy, we had so much fun! I got to know a lot of people better and built strong friendships. It was really cool just to take a trip together.
What defines you?
My past experiences have truly strengthened my faith in Christ. He has become so real to me. In Acts 1, we are told that we are Christ’s witnesses, and that is what I strive to be. I desire to live a life worthy to be His witness, and to solely reflect Him and His love.
How does caffeine interrelate with your life?
RED BULL is AMAZING! They definitely keep me going! We even came up with this amazing mixture to keep us up! We go to QT, get one of those new big cans of Red Bull, poor it in a 32 oz. cup, and fill it the rest of the way with the fountain Rooster Booster!!! It is incredible and really gets the job done!!!
Favorite spot in St. Louis?
I love St. Louis! It is hard to pick just one place, but I would have to say the U. City Loop. The environment in the loop is thrilling! There is always so much activity and excitement, no matter what time of day it is. There are great little boutiques, awesome restaurants, and the people are awesome! There is also this quaint little bookstore there called “Subterranean Books”, which may be my favorite bookstore in the area!
How has MBU allowed you to experience your faith?
We went to Passion earlier this semester and it was an incredible experience. The worship as well as the messages were so intense!
Favorite place to spend time at MBU?
Probably the cafeteria. There are always a lot of people in there just hanging out. Even when no one is eating, people still sit in there and talk.
Favorite thing to do on a Thursday night?
Every Thursday night I go to the Source. It is our Campus Crusade event, and it’s so good!
We join together with SCCC, Lindenwood, UMSL, Maryville, Merrimac, WashU… I think I got them all. Anyway, it’s a great time of fellowship and learning, and it really recharges you or the rest of the week!
Where do you live?
I live on campus. It is a lot of fun to go home at night to all your friends waiting up for you. The girls are hilarious and we definitely keep each other entertained!
What do you want to be when you grow up?
When I grow up I want to be an Editor. I would love to run a magazine about Dining and Entertainment in St. Louis, or another big city… That would be awesome!!!
What’s an interesting fact about you?
I don’t even know…I caught a hammerhead shark while fishing once!!.... Is that interesting?
