From the wee hours of the morning until well after the sun sets, Missouri Baptist University is bustling with activity on nearly any given day.
Inside the renown Pillsbury Chapel and Dale Williams Fine Arts Center, aspiring actors and ardent musicians can be found––and heard––rehearsing for upcoming performances.
Members of MBU’s highly praised SIFE (Students in Free Enterprise) organization, a group that has won their regional championship for the last three years, are constantly selling the enticing Otis Spunkmeyer cookies from the Bywaters Lounge and preparing to take home their next accolade from a competition on the horizon.
Scholar athletes are commonly found jogging through the wooded trails that weave throughout the MBU campus.
Inside the Student Activities office, members of the MBU Student Government Association are no doubt busy planning for the next Karaoke Lunch or unforgettable ski trip to Colorado.
And that’s only on our campus.
On any given weekend members of the acclaimed Spirit Wing, one of several ministry groups at MBU, can be found belting out the latest Christian songs of today at churches across the Midwest. From the MBU Ringers, a five-octave hand bell choir, to MBU’s vocal jazz/pop ensemble, Allusion, the University’s wide array of performance groups can be commonly found touring the region on concert. Allusion, on their tenth year of existence, is set to perform their show stopping tunes in New York City.
During a semester, MBU students will study at universities and colleges throughout the world. Through consortiums and partnerships, MBU students now have the option to study at hundreds of locations across the globe.
But you don’t have to go out of town to get your fill of excitement. From the Gateway Arch to Forest Park, the largest city park in the nation, the St. Louis metro area is bustling with opportunity.
