Undergraduate Transfer AdmissionsWhen transferring to Missouri Baptist University you will find that the admissions staff is more than willing to sit down with you to answer your questions. From requirements to transfer credit to enrollment, we are here to help you.

Application Process

  • Submit a completed application for admission
  • A Letter of Recommendation
  • Submit official transcripts from all colleges previously attended. Official transcripts must be sent directly from the institution to Missouri Baptist University. Official transcripts are required from each individual institution where credits were attempted.
  • A 2.00 cumulative college GPA on a 4.00 scale is required. A GPA below 2.00 may result in provisional acceptance. Certain majors and degree programs require a cumulative grade point average of 2.50 or better. Students should check specific catalog requirements for their program.

Transfer Credit Guides
Transfer guides have been created for a few local St. Louis area schools. Select your originating college and academic program for credit acceptance information.

 

  • 70 credit hours are the maximum number transferred from a junior college unless specified by an articulation agreement
  • A grade of "C" or better is required for all coursework in the major or minor
  • A minimum of 128 hours is required for graduation
    45 hours must be upper division credit
  • At least 24 of the last 30 hours must be taken at Missouri Baptist University
  • A minimum GPA of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale must be maintained at all times

Transfer Scholarships
There are various scholarships set aside for transfer students. Academic scholarships are based on the cumulative GPA from all colleges attended. Contact the Director of Transfer Counseling to discuss other scholarships that may be available to you.

  • Academic scholarships for tuition range from 20% to 100% of tuition.
  • Alumni and family awards are available.
  • Church related scholarships are available.

To renew the various scholarships the student must be a full-time student and maintain a minimum GPA based on the scholarship level (see Financial Services).

  • Missouri Baptist University is accredited by the Commission on Institutions of Higher Education of North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
  • The Main St. Louis Campus serves approximately 1300 undergraduate and graduate students with three other locations and programs topping enrollment near 3200.
  • The ratio of faculty to student is 1:18, with the average class size of 25 students.
