Located a few hours south of Bangkok in the coastal town of Cha-am, Webster University Thailand is the newest edition to the Webster International Network of Campuses. Campus is conveniently close to the Gulf of Thailand and the resort towns of Cha-am and Hua Hin and other parts of Thailand by road, rail and a regional airport. Other noteworthy regional sites include Angwor Wat, the Emerald Buddha and the Grand Palace.
Study abroad students are housed in either studio or small apartments off campus with meals in the central campus cafeteria. The brand new library and computer labs provide students access to the Internet and e-mail. For recreation, students may spend the day at the beach or enjoy the sports facilities on campus. Optional excursions to other areas of Thailand and neighboring countries are easily arranged, and many courses integrate field trips into the academic program.
All study abroad students in Thailand enroll in a 3-credit-hour course on Tai culture, religion and politics which acquaints them with their new surroundings.
Other courses provide the opportunity to experience the culture of Thailand and Southeast Asia while pursuing coursework in your major field of study. Many feature excursions and field trips to noteworthy sites of history, culture and commerce.
All credit hours earned will be accepted, according to current catalog, for those students seeking degrees at MBU.
