The Master of Arts in Counseling (MAC) degree meets all of the requirements for Missouri Certification as an Elementary and Secondary School Guidance Counselor. The program also has a unique feature that meets all of the academic requirements to obtain a Professional Counselor Licensure in Missouri. Through the MAC degree, students who do not desire School Counselor Certification may elect to pursue the academic requirements for licensure only. For many, certification as a Psychological Examiner is a logical extension of the counseling degree program. Missouri Baptist University offers this program for individuals who have a master’s degree in Guidance and Counseling, Counseling Psychology, Educational Psychology or Education.

  • Secondary Counseling, 7-12: For Certification and Licensure – for certified teachers
  • Elementary and Secondary Counseling, K-12: For Certification and Licensure

  • Psychological Examiner Certification
