This bibliography comprises some of the most important books dealing with theological, philosophical, and pedagogical issues related to the integration of Christian faith and academic disciplines. Thematically it is divided into three sections entitled “Doctrinal Theology,” “Christianity and Contemporary Culture,” and “Faith and Learning: History, Theory, and Practice,” respectively. The first section lists works on foundational Christian doctrine, biblical studies, and hermeneutics. It represents various doctrinal positions including Reformed theology, Wesleyanism, postfoundational theology, and Pentecostalism. Books listed in the second section discuss Christianity in its cultural and intellectual context today. They cover such current movements as postmodernism, moral relativism, religious pluralism, multiculturalism, diversity, and globalization. The works in the final section, “Faith and Learning: History, Theory, and Practice,” explore the historical background, theoretical questions, and pedagogical issues related to faith-learning integration. Although Intégrité does not necessarily recommend all of the items below, we believe that they are written in a sophisticated, scholarly manner and thus deserve a reading by those who seek to integrate Christian faith and academic pursuit from a perspective that is both doctrinally sound and intellectually relevant.
