Students must meet all requirements for certification before this degree will be conferred, including passing the following: 1) all sections of the Missouri General Education Assessment (MoGEA) (or C-BASE if all subtests were passed as of 12/31/2013 and degree/certification requirements can be completed by 12/31/2016); 2) the Professional Development Folio (semester prior to student teaching); 3) the Missouri Content Assessment(s) for each area of certification sought (or Praxis exam if passed as of 8/31/2014 and degree/certification requirements can be completed as of 12/31/2016); 4) and the Missouri Pre-Service Teacher Assessment (MoPTA) (completed during student teaching).

This major is available as both a stand-alone (Birth through Grade 3) and as a combined major with Elementary Education (Birth through Grade 6) and/or a minor in Early Childhood Special Education (Birth through Grade 3 or Grade 6).
