The Blackboard default Send E-mail tool is a quick and easy way for faculty to send e-mail to students on the module. It is possible to e-mail individuals, groups of students, or all course members (including faculty), directly from the course.
The Send E-mail tool supports outgoing e-mail only. Messages sent through Blackboard's email function are received , read and replied to in the regular e-mail system. Blackboard will only send messages to MBU e-mail accounts. All students are issued e-mail accounts when they enroll (StudentID#@mobap.edu). Faculty are issued e-mail accounts when they complete their payroll paperwork and meet with Barb Burns. Students may choose to forward their e-mail to an of-campus address (such as Gmail or Hotmail), but we are not responsible for delivery to off-campus addresses. You should therefore make it a policy of your course that students must use their MBU e-mail address, and you should set an example in this by using yours. If you do not know your MBU e-mail address, please contact the MBU IT Office at (314) 392-2377 or helpdesk@mobap.edu.
As the sender of the e-mail, you will receive a copy of the email sent through Blackboard (this will automatically go to your MBU e-mail account).
