The Health and Sport Sciences Division is seeking qualified candidates to fill an Assistant/Associate Professor of Exercise Science position for the fall of 2014. The candidate of choice will be required to teach the equivalent of a four-course load per semester, concentrating in the exercise science major. General faculty responsibilities will include student advising, division and committee assignments, and other duties as assigned by the Division Chair. Ph.D. in applied physiology, exercise science, or related field highly preferred. Background in exercise physiology and/or biomechanics required. College teaching experience and practical experience in the field preferred. Candidate should be able to demonstrate active involvement with professional organization (e.g. ACSM) and familiarity with ancillary professional certifications (e.g. CSCS). Candidate must be able to demonstrate a commitment to a liberal arts educational mission and evangelical Christian orientation and a commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching, mentoring and advising students, and scholarship.
